About me:
As a yogi, I love feet. I once heard 'we die from the feet up' and I do observe that if we have trouble with our feet then it affects other areas of our lives such as mobility, balance, pelvic health, etc. Our feet are our primary contact with the earth: our sense of being connected and grounded, a feeling of steadiness and stability, the awareness of "being where you are," present and whole.

As a human, I love reflexology. I've always found it effective for a variety of ailments and overall it gives me that same deep sense of relaxation and restoration one can get from a good yoga class.
About reflexology:
Reflexology is a technique that applies gentle pressure to your feet or hands. It aims to bring about a state of relaxation and help the body's own healing process. Reflexology works in a similar way to acupressure and acupuncture. Reflexologists believe there are certain points on the feet and hands. These points correspond to the organs and glands in the body. So by pressing and massaging these points it can stimulate energy pathways in the body. If any energy pathways are blocked reflexology aims to unblock them. Allowing the energy to flow freely again which aims to restore balance to the body.

My training:
I chose to train with the Middlesex School of Complementary Medicine with a teacher called Lucy Bush - mainly because she teaches and practises reflexology the way I teach and practise yoga; with technical precision and kindness, by exploring rather than imposing and with a view to overall wellbeing. I feel very lucky to have studied with her.
